Bio
Dr Rajalingam Raja currently serves as the Laboratory Director, Clinical Consultant, and Technical Supervisor for the Immunogenetics and Transplantation Laboratory at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). Dr Raja's academic background includes six years of PhD studies focusing on HLA diversity at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, followed by six years of post-doctoral research in NK cell immunogenetics at Stanford. His extensive experience spans 22 years in clinical histocompatibility laboratory directorship within high-volume transplant centres at UCLA and UCSF, shaping him into a highly skilled investigator dedicated to the fields of histocompatibility, immunogenetics, and transplant immunology. He facilitates over 1200 kidney, heart, lung and bone marrow transplants per year at UCSF and at University of Southern California.
